Spending most of my career in Medical Diagnostics, I understand the value of early detection and excellent patient management/treatment. It is why I wanted to partner with a great organization that not only helps those affected directly by blood cancers, but also their friends and families. I’ve seen and heard first-hand how blood cancers can affect not only the patient but their loved ones – and I hope that by running the 2019 London Marathon, my own network of supporters can help make a difference in this disease once and for all.
I seek to make my 5th World Major Marathon have an impact - I want to dedicate this race to my running partner and friend, Wayne. Wayne and his family felt the affects of Leukemia first-hand when his mother was diagnosed and I've seen the hard work he has put forth in running and raising money for many charities over the years. Wayne helped me train for my first marathon and has been a very great motivator in pushing me past my perceived boundaries in regards to my running. It is because of him that I am where I am today in my running and I want to help make a difference in something that personally touched his family. Cheers, friend. Let's go make a difference running 42.2km!
